What does elevation mean?

The Upper Tribunal has determined that the word elevation in the contexts of a long residential lease denotes all the external vertical surfaces of the building rather than simply the front of it. It may sound like an obvious result, but to the leaseholder who altered the building without the freeholder’s consent, it was an important distinction.
