I am 1 of 13 owner occupiers of a development of apartments who unexpectedly had the opportunity to purchase our Freehold. It became apparent that we would need the services of a Solicitor preferably experienced in this process.

In early 2016 I was the secretary of the Leaseholder’s Association for a block of maisonettes in Sutton Coldfield. I, along with others, received a letter stating that the freeholder of the block intended to sell his interest to another company. As required by law, the letter indicated that the leaseholders of the maisonettes had the opportunity to acquire the freehold under certain conditions. Mark Adcock had already helped me with an associated issue and I did not hesitate to obtain his advice with respect to this new situation.

From the very start, Mark, Hedley and their team provided us (the  leaseholders) with a thoroughly professional service, delivered in a helpful and friendly manner. We were given a presentation at which the pros and cons of Leaseholder Enfranchisement were discussed, and the procedure explained. We decided to go ahead.

The process was planned and executed to a successful conclusion in accordance with the time constraints and other conditions specified by statute. As you can imagine such a project requires frequent contact between solicitor and client(s); this aspect was handled with the considerate foresight necessary in situations where strict deadlines must be met and negotiations with others handled appropriately to achieve the desired results. We were kept fully abreast of developments and our input was always requested and taken into consideration in good time. I can most definitely recommend Adcocks as providers of an excellent service where legal expertise and project management skills are required.
